you're "having" food, not "do"ing it. you're having the fried chicken with corn on the cob, you're not having sex with the fried chicken (at least, not at the restaurant one would hope).
i'm not sure where it came from, but i wonder:
1. is this a california thing
2. wendy's isn't helping
